Clackamas County, OR – Veronica Lynn Zearing Killed in Crash on S Springwater Rd
Clackamas County, OR (January 28, 2021) – One woman and her dog lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Clackamas County on Monday. On January 25, emergency crews were requested to provide assistance at the site of a serious collision on South Springwater Road.
Reports from authorities show that a red Toyota Celica and a blue Volvo C30 were involved in a head-on collision in the 15200 block of South Springwater Road. The impact of the crash resulted in severe front-end damage to both vehicles. The drivers were both trapped inside their vehicles.
Firefighters responded to the site of the incident and extricated the two trapped drivers. The driver of the Celica, identified as 52-year-old Veronica Lynn Zearing, was transported via Life Flight to a level-one trauma hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Volvo, identified as a 62-year-old female from Happy Valley, was transported to a level one trauma unit. A 14-year-old dog inside the Volvo was fatally injured.
At this time, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
