Fatal Truck Accidents in Oregon
Hundreds of people die in motor vehicle accidents across Oregon every year. There are many instances where people lose their lives in accidents that are entirely preventable. Quite often, negligent drivers cause devastating accidents that end in fatal injuries for those involved.
Statistics show that nearly one out of every three accidents involving death take place as a result of a speeding driver. Unfortunately, speeding can increase not only the chances of an accident happening but the severity of injuries that result. Recklessly switching lanes of travel can also lead to devastating accidents. When drivers try to pass vehicles and enter the opposite lane of travel, it can lead to a severe head-on collision. Some other reasons that accidents continue to take place across our state include drivers who are impaired, distracted, or otherwise engaging in acts of negligence while operating their vehicles.
Even though we are required to operate our vehicles safely and responsibly, we continue to see innocent people die as a result of drivers who fail to do so. If your loved one has died as a result of a car crash that involved a negligent driver, your family can take legal action. A wrongful death lawyer in Benton County can help your family seek compensation for some of the damages that your family faces.
