Car Accidents in Oregon

Beaverton, OR – Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash Reported on Highway 26 near Murray BlvdEvery year, thousands of people in Oregon are hospitalized with serious injuries due to traffic accidents that take place in our state. Unfortunately, people are often harmed as a result of accidents caused by negligence.

One of the most common factors in car crashes is distracted driving. Distractions can include anything from changing the radio, talking on the phone, or even having a conversation with somebody in the backseat. Anything that takes the attention of a driver off the road can have serious consequences.

Another common cause of car crashes is impairment. Intoxication can have a severe impact on a driver’s reaction time, judgment, and coordination. This can make it much more difficult for them to operate a vehicle safely.

Speeding is another common factor that contributes to accidents that we see here in Oregon. Drivers who are traveling too fast may not be able to stop in time to avoid collisions with other vehicles. Speeding around curves and roadways can also be incredibly dangerous as it increases the likelihood that drivers will leave their lanes and strike other vehicles.

Additionally, aggressive driving, such as weaving between lanes of travel and tailgating, can also lead to devastating accidents. If another person’s negligent actions have caused you harm, you may be able to take legal action against them.
